Call for Papers

The proceedings of SIMPAR 2018 will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore.  Detailed guidelines are on the author instructions page. In a nutshell, please submit papers via IEEE RAS PaperPlaza. Make sure to follow the format guidelines, available as LaTeX and MS Word templates on PaperPlaza. Papers should be six pages in length, and we can accommodate up to two extra pages. All papers are reviewed using a single-blind review process.

The theme of the 2018 Edition is Leveraging Simulation in the Hardware and Software Design of Autonomous Robots.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Applications of simulation in hardware design
  • 3D robot simulation and mathematical modeling of robots
  • Learning from simulation
  • Reliability, scalability and validation of robot simulation
  • Simulated sensors and actuators
  • Machine learning for robotics applications
  • Offline simulation of robot design
  • Online simulation with real-time constraints
  • Simulation with software/hardware in the loop
